Notice to Bidders and Newspaper Advertisement

The State University of New York at Oneonta will receive sealed bids for project number L09136 titled Generator Replacement at Hulbert Hall until 2:00 p.m. local time on May 5, 2025 the Facilities Planning Annex, 322 West Street, where such proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud.

All work on this Contract is to be completed by July 25, 2026, or within 150 days of Notice to Proceed.

Bidders who register as a plan holder through the Printer may acquire the bidding and contract documents using the following options:

  1. For a non-refundable fee of Ten ($10), interested firms may request and receive an electronic download of the bidding and contract documents. A printed copy will not be provided as part of this option.

  2. For a non-refundable fee of Forty-Nine Dollars ($49), interested firms may request and receive a printed copy of the complete set. Only complete sets will be issued. An electronic download will not be provided as part of this option.

Section 143 of the State Finance Law requires payment of a deposit to receive these documents. Deposits less than $50 are non-refundable. Deposits will be waived for certified Minority and Women Owned and Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses.

The last day for questions or requests for clarification regarding the contract documents is April 23, 2025, by 2:00pm.

A project walk through will be held on April 17, 2025, at 10:00 am. Please meet at construction trailer at 322 West Street, Oneonta.

Bids must be submitted in duplicate in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid.

It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New York to encourage minority business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy.

The State University of New York reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
